Instructional animation for Adventure Scientists. It is designed to accompany training materials for volunteer divers, and it exemplifies proper survey protocol for a team of divers to conduct habitat and species assessments of coral reef sites along the Mexican Pacific coast.

Coral reefs are critically important to a variety of marine organisms as well as life on the coast. Researchers monitor them to understand the impact of climate change and human activity, and to make policy recommendations that protect these vital and fragile ecosystems from future harm.
