Birds of Belize

An illustration showing a variety of birds native to Belize along with some endemic plants. Inspired by a trip to Belize, I wanted to highlight the bright coloration found in many rainforest species. Pictured here are a blue-crowned motmot (Momotus momota), keel-billed toucan (Ramphastos sulfuratus), scarlet macaw (Ara macao), azure-crowned hummingbird (Amazilia cyanocephala), black-headed trogon (Trogon melanocephalus), and a pair of white-collared manakins (Manacus candei).
